Screen Shot 2018-02-22 at 11.19.09.pngFollowing the release of his latest single Taunt”, Manchester based singer-songwriter Dave C. Rupert comes through with a thoughtful and emotive new track “Cold”.
Growing up writing songs in his bedroom, Dave went on to graduate as an opera singer at the RNCM in Manchester – in between classes, he’d continue to write songs, honing his craft and forming his solo project alongside a close-knit set of uni friends who shared his eclectic musical influences – and who now form his live band.
Dave has already created a serious buzz from supporters online, releasing songs on Soundcloud and performing in and around Manchester and the rest of the UK including support slots with Jake Bugg and Matt Corby.
The second release from his upcoming debut EP, “Cold” is continuation of Dave’s natural vocal power and a soft, melodic gem. Similarly haunting, the gorgeous guitar work points to an increasingly talented and important body of work. Speaking on the track, Dave states: “It’s kind of an apology letter/lullaby for making some mistakes in a relationship and thinking maybe I’d pushed it a bit too far this time.”
Dave C. Rupert has recently supported The Night Café and The Wombats across dates in Manchester, Hull, Glasgow and Blackpool, and has just been announced as the main support for Sam Fender at his sold out show at Electrowerkz on March 1st.
