MESSAGE FINAL ARTWORK.jpeg2016 saw a number of breakthrough milestones for emerging UK singer/songwriter Cat Delphi: being nominated for Best Songwriter and Best Female Solo at the British Unsigned Music Awards, having created serious hype self-releasing her debut EP ‘FIRE’ earlier in the year – premiered with CLASH Magazine.

She would go on to be playlisted on BBC Radio 2 and gain support from BBC Introducing South, seeing ‘Track of the Day’ features for a further two tracks from that EP and debut airplay on KISS FM. Meanwhile Cat would perform her first headline show at the 02 Academy Islington and consolidate her One to Watch status with a debut performance on Jools Holland Presents.

Amongst her unique vocal and natural talent for melody, it’s Cat’s extensive upbringing in Classical music that has in part influenced her remarkable rise: studying classical piano at the world-famous Royal College of Music in London, Cat brings a clear understated refinement to her work; now the emerging star bursts into 2017 and what’s sure to be another landmark year with her new single ‘Message’ produced by Pop Morrison – the production moniker of The Stereophonics’ Jamie Morrison.

Continuing her style of creating haunting, melodic ballads tinged with subtle production touches, ‘Message’ again showcases Cat’s uniquely powerful vocal and clear emotive edge. This is an artist creating haunting, engaging music in the vein of Ellie Rose or a pared-down, early Lorde; with the release of ‘Message’ there’s undoubtedly more headlines to be made this year for the young talent.
